Brielle Rose! Year ONE
Personal Post! We have been mostly MIA on here for awhile because we have been a little busy! Last April, we welcomed our first, precious child, Brielle Rose! We have done a lot of amazing work since then, but we have allowed ourselves to just exist in our wonderful baby bubble and soak up our time with her! But now, we want to share a little snippet of our world with all of you!
We found out we were pregnant in the fall of 2017, right before we hopped in the car to shoot a wedding over at Leal Vineyards in Hollister! Though every wedding is special to us, there were new moments of that day that just hit us SO much more with the knowledge that we were about to become parents. The father-daughter dance, the parent speeches, etc. Oh man. That day, we looked at each other through tears about 55 times because we knew that somedaaaaay, the little babe we had coming was going to get married, and we would be those parents.
Brielle was born on April 21, 2018! Yup, yesterday, we celebrated her first birthday! Our little easter bunny! We feel so incredibly blessed to both be full-time with our business which has allowed us to be home with her. We have both been there for every milestone, every doctor’s appointment, first words, first smiles, first foods. She is super curious, so happy, incredibly strong, and has a whole lotta attitude (sometimes). She is not walking yet on her own, but she gets around FAST. She has 7 teeth and the cutest little scrunchy smile. She loves to wave and smile at everyone she meets. We just love her and wanted to share a sample of photos from her first year!
More than ever, we feel the huge importance of photography in big moments and small. I mean, of course, as wedding photographers and family photographers, we feel that way. However, as I prepared for Brielle's first birthday party this last weekend, I printed out over 300 photos (a small sample hahaha) to paper our walls with for the party, and I cried happy (and kinda sad) tears as I looked through all of the changes in our sweet girl. And I thanked myself for taking the time to take these photos. From tiny, squishy newborn, to bubbly, darling toddler, we photographed every inch and every minute that we could.
We hope to get back to sharing more of the beautiful weddings and sweet family sessions that we shoot here on the blog real soon! And we thank our sweet clients for letting us slow down a little this last year to soak in our new roles as Mama and Dada. Two words that happen to be Brielle’s favorite to say!
