Have you ever dreamed of a Disneyland Engagement Session?! Kelly and Kaelin lived the dream!

If you have ever met us, you probably know that we are big Disney fans. There is probably not a day that goes by without a little Disney in it. Whether we watch a Disney movie/tv show, listen to Disney music, wear our Disney gear…you get it…some sort of Mickey-sighting happens. We have a toddler so this shouldn’t be surprising information (her biggest obsession is the Disneyland singalong from 1990. If you haven’t watched it, you simply must. It is a hilarious time capsule if you grew up in the 80’s/90’s. Brielle makes us watch it at least once a day.) Anyways, if I am honest, all of this was happening long before we had a toddler.

Our session with this modern day Mickey and Minnie was our second time getting to head into the parks with our cameras and our clients, and we are alllllll for this happening again and again. WELL…you know…when the parks open again (SIGH. I don’t even want to talk about how depressing it is to know that the parks are closed during this shelter in place, even if it is for our safety.) Anyways, we thought now would be an excellent time to not only share photos from this magical day, but also share a few tips on planning a Disney Day with photos in mind!

Make a plan!

Plan everything out…and be ready to throw the plan out the window a little. We like to plan out a location roadmap with coordinated wardrobe in mind. You cannot possibly hit every location in the parks…because the photo-ops are endless… but it is a great idea to have a general plan!

Keep things compact

I think you should have at least one outfit change, and again, plan it out ahead of time. You don’t want to be lugging things around. Bring your beauty items to touch up, but keep things as light and easily-accessible as possible.

Wardrobe tips:

whimsy, color, a hint of Mickey, a little sparkle, retro, full-on tourist. The options really are endless because you really see just about everything when you are in the parks. Biggest tip: you are (maybe) only going to do this once, so go all-out! Not that we would stop you from have Disney session after Disney session!
